KDDI子会社の沖縄セルラーは、IoTを活用した家庭用水耕栽培キット「やさい物語」を3月20日に発売します。 価格は初回の5000台に限り2万9800円、定価は3万4800円（いずれも税別） 土を使わずに、スポンジと水、そして液体肥料だけで野菜を育てる水耕栽培──これを家庭で手軽に行えるのが本製品です。 虫が入りにくい半密閉構造を採用し、インテリアに溶け込むデザイン。 内部のLEDの光やポンプは夜間は停止でき、静音性にも配慮しているのも特徴です。 栽培可能な品目は、レタスなどの葉物野菜やハーブ、ベビーリーフなど。 種をまいてから約1か月で収穫できるとしています。 その間は定期的な水や液肥の補給が必要ですが、種をまいてから最初の2週間は水の補給は不要。 その後は1週間に1度、水と液体肥料を足すだけと、手間をあまりかけずに栽培できる点も売りにしています。 続きはソース http://japanese.engadget.com/2017/03/17/3-iot-3-20/

  日当たり悪くてベランダも庭もなくて、寒冷地だから半年近く露地栽培には不適
  こんなところに住んでいる自分なら、年中緑を楽しめるアイテムとして使えそうだ

  レタスは、暑さに弱いから夏場は一日中エアコン効いてないと厳しいぞ。夏休みの自由研究にはおすすめしない

  35000円分レタス食うのに何年かかるか考えてしまう

  レタスキャベツ白菜とかは本当に難しいね
  畑で何も考えずにやると虫わきまくるからなぁ
  あれは農薬漬けでしか育たん

  水耕栽培なので水温は気温に相関しますから、寒ければ暖房を入れ、暑すぎれば冷房を入れるなど室温を一定にする空調設備と電気代が必要です
  レタスは初心者向きではないですね

  150円前後で売られてるから3万もあれば200個手に入るやんけ
  それも育てる手間も失敗するリスクもなく

  水を循環させてないから、すぐに藻が沸いたりカビが生えたりする
